Maryland Arrest Records

Among other things, the function of the Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services is to respond to requests for criminal history background checks, but it has to go through the legal procedure in order for your request to be legitimate. This role is tasked to its Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) unit with its Criminal Justice Information System Central Repository where all criminal records including Maryland Arrest Records across Maryland’s 23 counties are maintained.

Only police officials are authorized to conduct a complete Maryland criminal background check with an arrest record at the CJIS. Local residents are going to be permitted to get background checks for whatever purposes.Twenty-two out of its twenty-three counties requires application to be made in person. To retrieve Maryland Arrest Records, applicants must be fingerprinted at a Maryland State Police Station. The fees are $5 for each fingerprinting card and $18 for each state background check. Maryland citizens have the right to check on arrest reports as per the existing constitution that is implemented in the United States.
