Idaho Arrest Records

Idaho’s central database for criminal records is under the charge of the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI), a section of the Idaho State Police. It contains criminal history information of fingerprint-based arrest reports as recorded from Idaho criminal justice agencies including Idaho Arrest Records. This automated database serves as the central repository of the State of Idaho. Only accounts on arrests made within Idaho are accessible. Other state’s records, FBI records, or subjects convicted in federal court are not filed here.

A signed release is required by the Bureau of Criminal Identification to process requests for arrest information at the BCI. Juvenile records are not included unless the subject is adjudicated as an adult. The processing time is approximately 10 business days and replies are via e-mail or fax. Authorized criminal justice agencies can apply online. Arrest record checks can be made by fingerprint or name. Both types cost $10 per search but an additional charge for fingerprinting is involved for fingerprint-based searches. This fee is determined by the local law enforcement office where the fingerprint card is generated.
