Can't Hide now, the Truth within Seconds
In the State of Oklahoma, all criminal history information, including Oklahoma Arrest Records, are maintained by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). They go under the Criminal History Division. Other divisions include the state forensic laboratory, the statistical analysis center and concealed weapon licenses. By state law, any individual has the right to view his or her own records kept by the OSBI. Law enforcers and justice personnel are allowed to access the criminal arrest records of others. Employers are permitted to conduct criminal background checks if the consent of the subject is obtained.
Criminal Background Searches can be conducted either by fingerprint or name. The former method costs $19 per search while the latter one, $15. State fingerprint searches are inclusive of a name-based search. Requests may be made via walk-in, mail or fax. The requestor must provide the full name and date of birth of the person to be searched. For fingerprint searches, fingerprint cards are required. They can be requested at the local police department or sheriff’s office.
