Nevada Arrest Records
The central archive of criminal records for the State of Nevada is the Records and Identification Bureau (RIB) of the Nevada Department of Public Safety (DPS). This database which includes Nevada Arrest Records is overseen by the County Sheriff office. The arrest information contained in this repository is made up of arrest reports documented and provided by the various counties and criminal justice agencies of Nevada. They are updated on a daily basis.
By Nevada law, conviction records are public records. Anyone has the right to access anybody’s conviction records. Dissemination of criminal history records in general is regulated by Nevada Statutes. State-wide searches require a signed release accompanied by the subject’s fingerprints. The official DPS-006 Form must be used and submitted with a written request, no phone, fax or walk-in. Requests without a signed waiver can still be made but the information released will consist only of conviction records and the charge is $21 per name, with or without signed consent.
