Louisiana Arrest Records
Criminal records of Louisiana, including Louisiana Arrest Records are maintained at the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII) section of the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana Department of Corrections (DOC). The BCII provides criminal background information through the Louisiana Computerized Criminal History system (LACCH). It is also responsible for the Sex Offender Registry and Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The DOC works hand in hand with the BCII to make criminal information accessible to justice agencies.
For non-government agencies and individuals in Louisiana, applicants for criminal information must be authorized by law – health care, social and medical services, the gaming industry and regulatory functions. Private individuals can review but not obtain copies of their own records. To access arrest documentations at the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, two types of application forms are provided: a Record Authorization Form for checking own records and a General Disclosure Arrest Record Form for employment background checks. Forms should be submitted to BCII. Charge per application is $26 with an additional $10 fee for fingerprint-based searches while personal records cost $10 each.
